Our Team

Dr. Inger Malwin Dabney was born and raised in beautiful Venice, Florida. She graduated from Venice High School in 1982 and went on to complete her undergraduate training at St. Petersburg Junior College, where she earned her degree in dental hygiene. Immediately after achieving this goal, Dr. Dabney was accepted into the Indiana University School of Dentistry, where she completed her graduate training in general dentistry and graduated in 1990.

Dr. Dabney returned to Venice and partnered with her father, Dr. Jarl Malwin, who had been practicing general dentistry in Venice since 1958. Together, they continued a legacy that has made their practice the longest-established private dental practice in Venice to this day.

In the fall of 1990, she met her future husband, Fred Dabney, who had been drafted by the Chicago White Sox. They married in 1993 and raised their two wonderful sons, Dane and Tanner. Their family truly enjoyed the best of both worlds—growing up in paradise while traveling the country and watching their father compete throughout his baseball career as a successful left-handed pitcher and coach in both the minor and major leagues.

Venice has always been home for Dr. Inger and Fred. They both enjoy activities involving the water, from competing to catch the biggest fish to paddleboarding, kayaking, and jet skiing.  They also love college football and Dr. Inger is so proud of her Hoosiers winning the National Championship! Go Hooisers!!

Their greatest joy is serving the Lord and living out their faith. They are also enjoying their new role as grandparents to their two young grandsons, Dane Jr. and Beckett, who keep them young at heart.

It has been a tremendous privilege and blessing for Dr. Dabney not only to work alongside her father for 25 years, but also to carry on the legacy of caring for others in the field of dentistry and beyond—providing exceptional service to each patient and building lifelong relationships within the practice and the community.

I have been a dental hygienist for over 34 years. I was born in Zanesville, Ohio, and grew up in Beverly, Ohio, home of the Fort Frye Cadets. I enjoyed playing softball, basketball, and played the trombone in the marching band.

I graduated from Shawnee State College in Portsmouth, Ohio, in 1985 with my dental hygiene degree. After college, I moved to Newark, Ohio, where I met and fell in love with my husband Joe. He and I married in 1997. He is currently a realtor with D.R. Horton.

I have a stepson and daughter in law and a granddaughter. We moved to Sarasota from Newark, Ohio, in 2002 and now live in Willow Chase in North Venice. I enjoy running, bike riding, and walking my puppy Biscuit.

Originally from Atlantic City, NJ, where she worked as a Dental Assistant for 27 years, Kathy completed her Dental Assistant training in Cape May, NJ.Kathy now handles our patients’ insurance, billing, treatment planning, scheduling, and looking at each day as an opportunity to expand her knowledge and experience.

When she is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family. She also loves traveling, tasting new wines, and hanging out with community friends on the weekends.

Robin is originally from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. She moved to Florida in 2005 & now resides in North Venice. With a combined 4 years as a dental assistant in our office she has a total of 38 years of experience. She has two children & one granddaughter, Brooklyn, who is the light of her life. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, reading & laying by the pool.
